The World Barista Championship, and the World Brewer’s Cup, brought to you by Hario, are the premiere competitive coffee events in the world. They pit over 100 competitors from all over the globe against each other in an exciting display of artistry and technical mastery, and they are coming to Dublin June 22nd-25th. They will be proceeded by the Re:co Symposium, a gathering of coffee leaders for education, discussion, and action.
Competitors in the World Barista Championship (WBC) will go head-to-head on espresso machines and grinders from our Qualified Sponsors Nuova Simonelli and Mahlkoenig, all of which will be fed by water from Pentair Everpure, and cleaned with products from Cafetto. DaVinci Gourmet returns as a Gold Sponsor.
Re:co Symposium, hosted by Probat Werke, is the extension of the Symposium model to the global coffee context. After an outstanding Re:co Atlanta event, this gathering of coffee leaders heads to Dublin June 21st-22nd, with an exciting program of talks, debates, and sensory experiences.
The World Brewers Cup, brought to you by Hario, will take place alongside the WBC. Water filtration will be provided by Brita, and cleaning by Cafetto, with Curtis and BUNN as equipment partners, Café Taf as Coffee Sponsor, and an origin trip for the WBrC winner provided by Ally Coffee.
The competitions take place at the SCAE’s World Of Coffee Dublin event, hosted by BWT, and will also be broadcast live online, thanks to sponsor DCS. In-person attendees will have the chance to try amazing coffees at our WBC Brew Bar, brought to you by Marco, and the WBC Espresso Bar, with espressos by Daterra. This will include the chance to try coffees made by the champions themselves, with each competitor having an allotted audience bar shift.
