Transport

The show is hosted at the Expominas center, located on the west of the city, about 30 minutes from downtown by public transport. The area is well serviced by public transport — the Estação Gameleira metro station is close by, and there are several bus routes that stop near Expominas. These include routes 2104, 1502, and 9205 from the city center, and routes 2151, and 2104 from the Savassi area. If you plan on taking a taxi, it is highly advisable to pre-book rather than hailing from the street. You can use Uber, Cabify, and the 99 Taxis apps, however Lyft does not operate in Brazil.

Travel Tips

Visas

The majority of countries do not require a visa for entry to Brazil, however there are some notable exceptions including the US, Australia, Canada, China, and Japan. You can find out more information on the visa application process by visiting the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website. For invitation letters, you can contact Brazil International Coffee Week by emailing contact@internationalcoffeeweek.com.br

Vaccinations

Depending on how extensive your travel is, there are likely to be a number of vaccinations you will need. We recommend discussing these with your physician well in advance of departure to ensure you are covered.

Weather

You can expect temperatures between 19°C (66.2°F) to 28°C (82.4°F) in springtime, with an average of 227mm of precipitation spread over 14 days. Clima Tempo is a good Brazilian resource to check for updates on the weather.

Power

The official voltage in Belo Horizonte and most south westerly states is 127V @ 60Hz. Some commercial facilities such as hotels also offer 220V @ 60 Hz. You can find the lower voltage in white sockets, with 220V in red sockets. The official socket is type N, but you might also come across type C.
