Kaffevaerk Copenhagen
Please tell us a little about yourself:
I’m studying geology at the University of Copenhagen while brewing some damn great coffee at Kaffevaerk. Other than that I do a bit of roasting and I enjoy sour beers a bit too much.
How did you get started in coffee?:
I just started out as a home enthusiast and when I moved to Copenhagen I started working for Kaffevaerk where I got a bit more serious about it.
Please list the coffee competitions you have participated in, what year they took place, and your results:
2018 Danish Cup Tasters – 1st Place
What are you excited to do while you are in Brazil?:
I’m excited to talk to a lot of good people, eat some great food, and participate in a world championship for the first time.
What is your favorite coffee to cup?:
I don’t really have a favorite but commonly I prefer Colombian, Burundian, and Kenyan coffee.
What are your interests outside of coffee?:
I study geology so that is definitely an interest, but my main concern is coffee.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?:
Still sourcing, roasting, and brewing great coffee with some cool people at Kaffevaerk. Plus I’m a geologist, so I bit of that aswell…
Is there anyone you would like to thank or recognize, or who helped you to prepare for the competition?:
Rune Rasmussen from Kaffevaerk who has supported me from when participating in the Danish championship was just an idea and until now. He also provided all the machinery I need, so major thanks to him!
