Please tell us a little about yourself:
Hey there! My name is Zdeněk, and I’m 26 years old. I own a tiny espresso bar in Prague called ones with my partner Adam, and we are also part of Candycane coffee roastery.
Please list the coffee competitions you have participated in, what year they took place, and your results:
Czech Barista Championship: 2016 – 6th Place, 2017- 3rd Place, 2019 – 1st Place
Coffee Masters 2017 London – 9th Place
Czech Brewers Cup 2017 – 7th Place
Belvedere Vodka 2018 Coffee Ambassador
How do you see the coffee industry changing in the future?:
I see more local sourcing, and a reduction in waste.
Where do you see yourself in five years?:
Be happy and enjoy life, what a cliché right? But I am a really happy guy already, so I don’t have anything to change.
What are your interests outside of coffee?:
Drums, motorcycles, and yo-yos.
