Fefe Cafe

Please tell us a little about yourself:

I am from small town in Slovakia—Trnava. I’ve been working in speciality coffee for 5 years, and every day I am falling deeper and deeper into this amazing industry. The first time I came in touch with speciality coffee was in the high school. I am a that type of guy that’s interested in learning new things. I am so happy to be here, so I could show you my passion for this job.

What are you excited to do in Boston?:

Definitely go to see some coffee shops, restaurants, and the city :)

Please list the coffee competitions you have participated in, what year they took place, and your results:

3rd Place – Slovak Barista Championship 2018
1st Place – Slovak Batista Championship 2019

How do you see the coffee industry changing in the future?:

Every day I meet people who want to drink good, quality coffee. Every day there is more interest in speciality coffee. I hope this industry will continue to develop and progress.

Where do you see yourself in five years?:

Still in the coffee industry :) If you find something you do with passion and as your hobby, it will just never be a “job” to you.

What are your interests outside of coffee?:

I am interested in trading on exchange markets, I train mixed martial arts, and I play saxophone.

Is there anyone you would like to thank or recognize, or who helped you to prepare for the WBC?:

A BIG thanks goes to the whole team at Concept Coffee Roasters in Pieštany, and Fefe Cafe in Trnava. A special thanks to roaster, Peter, for his support and the amazing coffees for the competition.
