Please tell us a little about yourself:

I’m a passionate coffee drinker and a devoted poet.

How did you get started in coffee?:

I started drinking specialty coffee almost 6 years ago, at Origo in Bucharest. I actually don’t work in coffee, I work in PR and communications.

Please list the coffee competitions you have participated in, what year they took place, and your results:

2018 National Cup Tasters – 12th out of 14

What are you excited to do in Berlin?:

Seeing the sunset up in Berliner Fernsehturm, and tasting great coffee roasted in Berlin.

What is your favourite coffee to cup?:

The variety of Ethiopian coffee makes for a very interesting cupping experience, every time.

What are your interests outside of coffee?:

Writing poetry, playing snooker, and cycling.

Where do you see yourself in five years?:

I see myself obtaining the SCA Coffee Skills Diploma and having published at least 2 two or 3 volumes of poetry. Other than that, I’m open to anything life has in store for me.

Is there anyone you would like to thank or recognize, or who helped you to prepare for the WCTC?:

I’d like to acknowledge Mihai Panfil for setting up Origo Coffee in Bucharest. Discovering specialty coffee there was amazing, learning so much about coffee by drinking and discussing it with knowledgeable baristas.
