Please tell us a little about yourself:

I’m Nikolas and I am from Greece and for the last 2.5 years I’ve been working in Hamburg, Germany. I’m in the coffee industry the last 7 years.

How did you get started in coffee?:

I was working in a beach bar on a Greek island when I was 21 years old, and saving money to do a trip around Europe. I started getting more and more interested in what was going on behind the coffee bar. In the end I was so excited with coffee that I did a coffee around Europe. When I came back to Greece I was sure that I wanted to continue learning more about coffee.

Please list the coffee competitions you have participated in, what year they took place, and your results:

I took place in Greek brewers cup of 2014 and I came 2nd.

What are you excited to do while you are in Brazil?:

The word Brazil is already exciting enough itself!

What was your first amazing experience with coffee?:

I will never forget the first Ethiopian coffee I tasted and made me fall in love with it.

Depends on the coffee because each one is unique.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?:

I would like to have my own business and a nice family.

Is there anyone you would like to thank or recognize, or who helped you to prepare for the competition?:

My company of course, and my trainer. But also all my friends that supported me, and my girlfriend that had to deal with all my stress 😊
