Please tell us a little about yourself:

I’ve been working the specialty coffee industry for the last 7 years. I am really in love with my job, and always searching for new adventures in it. The first thing that I loved in it was that I was communicating every day with new people. Sharing specialty coffee culture with young people is part of my daily routine; because a good cup of coffee, and some new friends is the only thing we need.

How did you get started in coffee?:

I began my journey in specialty coffee industry 7 years ago, as a barista in a small specialty coffee shop in my hometown. That was just the beginning.

Please list the coffee competitions you have participated in, what year they took place, and your results:

1st Hellenic Cezve Ibrik Championshion, 2017: 3rd Place
2nd Hellenic Cezve Ibrik Championshion, 2019: 1st place

What’s the secret to a great Cezve/ Ibrik beverage?:

The past, the present, and the future of our coffee culture in one glass. A combination of tradition, distinct flavors, served in a way to encourage more young people to join the specialty coffee community.

What are you excited to do in Berlin?:

It’s always my pleasure to come back to Berlin. I’m looking forward to visiting coffee friends from Berlin’s specialty coffee scene, have some brews, and walk around the center of this amazing city.

What was your first amazing experience with coffee?:

At the age of 12, when my grandfather let me taste his ibrik coffee.

What coffee-producing country most interests or excites you?:

The last few years I have always been searching to taste coffee from new coffee producing countries; different processes, and different varieties that lead to unique cup profiles. I have to keep my answer a secret until Berlin. You will find out there!

What are your interests outside of coffee?:

Travelling, travelling, and travelling!!! I also love spending time with Lou, my little husky dog. Finally, I spend a lot of time in summer helping my parents in their cultivation of wine back in my hometown.

Where do you see yourself in five years?:

On a coffee farm, with my big hat, helping the farmers to evolve their production, and share with more consistent coffee with us. Because in my opinion ,that is the main issue that we have to focus on in the upcoming years.

Is there anyone you would like to thank or recognize, or who helped you to prepare for the CIC?:

My family for supporting me unconditionally. My friends, Michalis Katsiavos, Elias Loupas, and Konstantinos Bletsos, for giving their guidance and thoughts theses last few months.
